Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Dance Workout Crew iOS app (“the app”, “we”) collects, why, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, email help@theloopyapp.com.

We don't ask you to create an account

Dance Workout Crew has no sign-up, no login and no password. We don't ask for your name, your address or your phone number, and we don't build a profile tied to your real-world identity.

What stays on your device and in your iCloud

Your workout data is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad:

If you are signed in to iCloud, this data also syncs to your own private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit) so your progress follows you to a new device. It is stored in your Apple account, not ours — we cannot read it. Deleting the app removes the data on your device; iCloud data can be removed from Settings → [your name] → iCloud on your device. A weight goal, if you set one, is never sent to us or to any third party — it stays on your device and in your own iCloud.

What we and our providers collect

Usage analytics

We use PostHog to understand how the app is used. Events are tied to a random, anonymous install identifier, not to you personally, and include things like which screens and buttons you use, workout and lesson progress, onboarding answers such as goals and music style, and purchase events. We never send your name, email address, contacts or location.

Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions are sold through Apple's App Store. We never see or receive your payment card details — Apple handles the transaction. We use Adapty to verify receipts and manage subscription status, which receives the same random install identifier along with your purchase and subscription status.

Dance videos (YouTube)

Lessons are real videos from independent dance creators, embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie) player. When a lesson video plays, Google/YouTube may collect data under its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. These videos are always free to watch and never require a subscription.

Apple Health

If you turn it on in Settings, the app can write your completed workouts and an estimate of active energy burned to Apple Health. This is off by default, only happens with your permission, and is a write only — the app does not read other Health data about you. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health on your device.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules local workout reminders on your device. We don't send these from a server, and you can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings.

Messages you send us

If you email support, we keep what you send us — including your email address — so we can reply and act on it.

Children

Dance Workout Crew is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us and we'll delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including the EEA and UK under the GDPR, and California under the CCPA — you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because the app has no account system, the fastest route for most data is to delete the app, which removes everything stored on your device, and to remove the iCloud data from your device's Settings. For analytics data held by us or our providers, email help@theloopyapp.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

Data retention and security

We keep usage data only as long as it's useful for improving the app, and support correspondence only as long as needed to resolve your issue and keep a record of it. Data in transit is encrypted using industry-standard TLS. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect precisely so there is little to expose.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you in the app.
